Brandon Waring and his wife Amber started BW Plumbing and Heating SW Ltd in January 2023, but the company has actually been around much longer. The business, which is based in Newton Abbott has been growing in leaps and bounds. As Rotarians, Brandon and Amber have also been able to raise significant amounts of money for charity.
Brandon has been in the plumbing trade since he was 16-years-old. He went out on his own at 18 and gained a wealth of experience from self-employment as a GasSafe Plumbing and Heating Engineer. He and Amber decided to register BW Plumbing and Heating SW as a Limited company in 2023 and just a year later they have started to employ apprentices.
Furthermore, BW Plumbing and Heating SW now covers all of Devon and Cornwall providing both emergency call out services as well as scheduled bathroom / kitchen makeovers. What has been the key to their success? Their mission is to deliver high-quality plumbing at a reasonable price, with exceptional customer service is certainly a key factor in the company’s ongoing growth. In addition to maintenance and repair and landlord services, this includes boiler installation, eco-friendly heat pumps and bathroom installations.
“We will always try our best to fit in the small and medium jobs that come our way and we’re not afraid of going out to work in the cold nights or at weekends,” says Amber. “Larger jobs need to be scheduled in advance as they take longer, for example bathroom renovations which is one of our specialities. Brandon and TeeJay often find themselves removing old and dated bathrooms for clients who want a transformation into something a bit more modern and fresh!”
Brandon and Amber have been married since 2022 and have an adorable Cockapoo named Bramble who is the company mascot. The couple are charity minded supporting the work of Rotary Newton Abbot and the worthy local charities it supports. As Rotarians, their personal goal is to achieve fundraising totaling £5,000 this year and they are already halfway there.
A recent charitable job Brandon completed was installing an accessible bathroom for Meadowside Charity (above right). He volunteered his labour for free, giving up many weekends to help out.
Why chose BW Plumbing & Heating as your go-to plumber?
Not only do Brandon and Amber have generous hearts, they also have an excellent track record with clients as BW Plumbing and Heating SW continues to attract good reviews. Just some of these include:
- “Everything you could ask for from a tradesman, keeps to his word and appointments. Friendly and knowledgeable service with no call backs. 100% the only plumber I use. Our new boiler has been in over a year and not a hitch or glitch with anything.” – James.
- “Cannot recommend BW Plumbing & Heating highly enough. They came to install a bathroom in our new house. Super reliable, always on time and a very professional tradesman. Would recommend him to everyone!” – Mollie.
- “Brandon Waring has offered excellent advice and solutions on various occasions with very quick replies and has always been extremely helpful and happy to come and look and quote for jobs. He is always very polite, friendly and professional. His work is always done to a high standard and his workman and craftsmanship is 5 star.” – Victoria.
“People sometimes feel anxious about tradespeople coming into their home,” says Amber, “however Brandon soon sets their minds at rest as these reviews confirm. For us it’s not just about plumbing. It’s also about the health and safety of our clients and our workers as part of our overall customer service.”
Brandon Waring handles everything including the kitchen sink
At BW Plumbing we undertake all kinds of jobs from domestic to light commercial needs,” says Brandon. “This could be anything from small leaks to, dripping taps, toilet repairs, battery refits etc. Plus, as an Ideal Max Accredited Installer I’m currently looking for boiler installations of Ideal Heating Systems. Being accredited means we can offer very long warranties on new boilers.
“We’re also always on the lookout for bathroom renovations. I love the challenge of managing full projects like this that require a team of contractors, for example, an electrician, plasterer, tiler etc. We oversee everything from start to finish, project managing the job on behalf of a client. This takes the stress away from the customer. We are also on standby for general maintenance and emergencies.”
Brandon and Amber are keen networkers, who are well connected with a group of allied tradespeople. Brandon joined the Exeter Chapter of BNI in 2023 and after his workload increased Amber is now representing the company each week.
