Al Gibson – Countdown Creative

Al Gibson is a communications professional who has 30+ years in the industry. He specialises in helping individuals and companies get noticed. This could be via press releases, SEO blog posts, social media campaigns and printed newsletters.

Originally from South Africa where he worked on a national newspaper as a sub-editor, Al Gibson has lived in the UK since 2001. He spent 18 years in corporate communications with an international broadcaster and since 2020 has run Countdown Creative Ltd in Exeter. Countdown is a content creation company which embraces the ‘They Ask, You Answer’ methodology.

Al is a prolific blogger who writes for several blogs, he is a member of  BNI Exeter City Wall and CTN Southwest networking groups.

Al is the chair of Kondanani UK, a local charity that aims to alleviate poverty in the UK, with a focus on supporting an orphanage and children’s hospital in Malawi. He also led the Exeter Kindness Project, a community initiative to create a large scale mural in Exeter featuring the work of Charlie Mackesy.
