Overview
Academic Summer Limited or Academic Camp as it is also known is a leading provider of British Summer Schools. The company is based in the Southwest of England with a global reach.
Academic Summer CEO, Helen Lami is known as ‘the Queen of British Summer Schools‘. She and her husband Turi are based in Tiverton from where she leads an international team that includes Camp Directors who oversee educational holiday programmes in Taunton, Bristol and London. These are held in June, July and August. Academic Summer also has half-term activities in Devon, bringing international students to the area. The photos show a group of children visiting Exeter. The Eden Project in Cornwall is another popular excursion.
Academic Summer Limited caters to local and foreign students aged 7-17, providing fun educational adventures linked to some of England’s top educational institutions. These include Queen’s College in Taunton; Sidcot School in Bristol; and DLD College and David Game College in London. Attending an Academic Summer Camp is seen to be a good starting point on the route to Oxbridge (Oxford and Cambridge Universities).
Academic Summer Ltd uses Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL); has BAC Accreditation and is recognised by Quality Education.
“At Academic Summer Limited we cater for children from all over the UK, including learners from Devon,” says Helen. “Our residential camps in the Southwest are hugely popular with local children attending as day scholars. Our London camps provide various career path options from legal to medical. We also have a camp in Canada that is an ideal opportunity for students to experience North America.”
