Steven Adjei is a Plymouth-based author and entrepreneur who writes about how businesses can adapt and create lasting value. His books explore the personal demands of entrepreneurship and the relationship between successful businesses and the communities they serve.
His first book, Pay the Price, examines ethical entrepreneurship and the commitment required to build a business with purpose. His second, Chasing Permanence, focuses on how businesses on Britain’s high streets can adapt and thrive. It was shortlisted in the Change & Sustainability category at the Business Book Awards 2026.
Steven’s interests extend beyond the page. His work around Chasing Permanence helped bring together business representatives and community organisations for an Inclusive High Street Forum in Plymouth. He also publishes articles on LinkedIn about local leadership and the future of town and city centres.
